How Blind Spot Assist works

Blind Spot Assist uses proximity radar to monitor the area outside of the rear and side driver’s field of vision that cannot be seen in the rearview mirror, known as the “blind spot area”. When there is a vehicle in this area, the system will send visual and acoustic warnings to the driver, generally the triangle of the outside mirror will light up in red when the vehicle approaches

When the vehicle is traveling at a speed of 30km/h or more, if the Blind Spot Assist system detects that a vehicle is located within the capture area of the radar sensor system, the warning light will illuminate in red to warn the driver. In addition, a warning is displayed in the instrument panel. A warning is issued when a vehicle passes through the capture zone, regardless of its relative speed to the vehicle.
